Office

Q: You’re a hybrid primary care and urgent care office. Does that mean I can be seen for an urgent care visit and you can also be my primary care provider?

A: Yes, absolutely! We are happy to serve as your established primary care provider, to see you for acute and urgent visits, or both. Please call us for more information.

Q: What kinds of Visits/Patients do you see?

A: We offer scheduled appointments and walk-in visits for all patients with non-life threatening illnesses and injuries. We offer other ambulatory care and services that can prevent or reduce the need for hospital admissions. Examples include acute illnesses as well as chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), and hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol). Preventive health care can be performed on an ambulatory basis, including routine physicals, and minor surgical and medical procedures. We are here to manage and deliver compassionate care so you can live a healthier, happier life. Please visit our Services Section for more information.

Q: Do you see children and infants?

A: Most of our staff is specialized in Family Medicine. We are able to see children of all ages, from newborns to seventeen years of age, including adults.

Q: What type of staff do you have?

A: We have highly qualified Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants that understand the importance of delivering quality medical care. Our Medical Assistants and administrative staff also acknowledge their important role in providing comprehensive healthcare.

Q: Does your office take insurance?

A: We accept and participate with most health insurances. Please visit our Insurances Section for more information. Currently, we do not handle Motor Vehicle Accident related injuries (MVA) or accept auto claims. If you are not sure, please call us and we would be more than happy to assist you!

Appointments

Q: I’m a new patient. How do I book an appointment?

A: Appointments can be made by calling our office or through our online Patient Portal. On the Portal, you can access a variety of functions in addition to booking appointments. You are able to change your appointments, select to receive text message reminders, read and print important forms, update your information and medical history, view your medical record and lab results, pay your bills, and even request prescription refills from your provider.

Q: Do I have to book an appointment?

A: No, you do not. We accept Walk-ins. Our wait times are minimal. However, certain visits like a Physical, DOT examination or Vaccinations, for example, we highly advise calling in advance.

Q: What if I need to cancel/reschedule an appointment?

A: Simply provide us with a 24-hour notice prior to your appointment and we’ll perform the change at no cost to you. If a 24-hour notice is not received, you may be subject to a $25 missed appointment fee.

Q: If I make and cancel the appointment both within 24 hours, what is the charge for cancellation?

A: We understand that this may occur, albeit rarely. There is no cost for cancelation if an appointment is made and canceled within the 24 hour period leading up to the appointment time.

Q: Wait-Times. How long will I wait if I walk in with no appointment?

A: Our patients are typically finished with registration within 15 minutes of arrival. Wait times vary considering volume, time of day, and the number of appointments in the office at that time. We advise you to always check for an appointment before walking-in. This way you will reduce your wait time even further.

Q: I don’t have insurance, can you still see me? Will I be offered a discount if I am a repeat uninsured patient?

A: We can certainly see you if you are uninsured. Our Self-Pay Price List is available to you, showing the most commonly requested visits and procedures. Our Self-Pay pricing is heavily discounted already, provided that you pay up front for the services.

Q: What information do you need from me in order to be seen?

A: We recommend you use your most important resource, the Patient Portal. Registration is simple and easy, especially from the comfort of your own home. Once you arrive, we’ll ask you for a valid photo ID, your most up to date insurance card, and a method of payment if you have not already paid via the Portal. We accept cash and all major forms of credit cards. We do not accept personal checks.

We accept most insurances, please view our Insurance Section for further details.

If you do not have health insurance, not to worry. Please visit our Self-Pay Section for a list of prices and other information.

Q: How is my information stored in the Portal?

A:

Synergy Immediate Care uses industry-standard security protocols to secure all of our data. Our portal’s cloud model ensures that patient information and data remains secure behind our firewall, and is not stored on the Portal itself. Because the Patient Portal is an integrated part of our electronic health record (EHR), messages sent between the portal and the EHR remain in the internal platform, and are, therefore, much more secure than external email.

Labs, Payments, & Other Services

Q: How long does it take to get my lab results?

A: Typically, receipt of results can vary anywhere from 3-5 business days. With the added convenience of an on-site lab, your results are usually expedited in comparison to traditional medical offices. Please view our On-Site Lab Section for more information on labs.

Q: Is there any cost to use the Patient Portal?

A: There is absolutely no cost to use the Portal. We implemented the Portal with you in mind, to make your life easier. It’s free and always will be. Please visit the Patient Portal page for a list of all of its benefits.

Q: How do I know how much my balance is?

A: Knowing your balance is easy as accessing the Patient Portal. Here, you’ll be able to see your statement balance and also be able to pay your balance online.

Q: Does your office offer payment installments?

A: Yes, we can offer auto-payment installments for our established patients. If for whatever reason a payment installment is rejected or denied by your merchant, however, a $35 fee will be assessed for each denial.

Q: Does your facility provide X-Ray services?

A: We are currently in the process of developing and providing X-Ray facilities in-house for use in the near future.
